Bill Maher Made A Fool Of By George Will

Not that it is very hard to make Maher look like a fool, he basically does that himself. However, when Maher goes on ABC's "This Week" it is quite obvious that he is waaaay out of his league. Shocking, isn't it? I mean, you would think a washed up comic and failed actor would have quite an informed and intelligent opinion about such things as oil dependency and environmentalism, right? Not really.

Maher concluded his answer by erroneously saying, "I mean, Brazil got off oil in the last 30 years, we certainly could have."

When Will got his chance to respond, Maher was left looking rather foolish.

You have to check out the video where Maher looks like a child who was just asked to spell "Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis" at the 3rd grade spelling bee. It's priceless!!! Here's the transcript though:

GEORGE WILL: I'd like to go back to Bill, can you just explain to me in what sense Brazil got off oil?

MAHER: (Looking like a deer in headlights): I believe they did. I believe they in the '70s, they had a program to use sugar cane ethanol. And I believe that is what fuels their country.

WILL: I think they still burn a lot of it and have a lot of it offshore.

Newsubsters then goes on to link a chart that shows that Brazil is the 8th largest consumer of oil on the planet. Way to go, Bill!!! It's hard to believe there are still people out there who get their "news" from Bill Maher!!!

More importantly, what the hell is Maher doing on ABC'S "This Week"?????
